Truffsy Cafe: Contemporary Industrial Interior Design

This interior design project for Truffsy Café in B-17 represents a sophisticated evolution of the Modern Industrial aesthetic. The design concept moves beyond traditional cold industrialism by enveloping the space in a warm, monochromatic terracotta and rust-textured shell, creating an immersive and grounded atmospheric experience.

• Color Theory & Materiality: The spatial envelope is defined by textured plaster walls in deep rust tones, providing a tactile backdrop. This warm palette is strategically juxtaposed with Petroleum Teal velvet upholstery and cool gray concrete finishes, establishing a balanced and rich visual contrast.
• Lighting Architecture: The ceiling plane is activated by a custom arrangement of suspended circular luminaires, adding geometric rhythm to the exposed slab. Vertically, structural columns are clad in backlit graphic lightboxes, serving a dual purpose of structural integration and ambient illumination.
• Zoning & Layout: The layout features a mix of lounge-style seating and dining arrangements to accommodate varied customer needs. The service bar is anchored by a brutalist-inspired concrete block base, contrasted by a sleek, high-gloss countertop and modern linear bulkhead lighting.
• Artistic Installations: A curated installation of vintage CRT monitors introduces a retro-futuristic element, adding a layer of artistic narrative to the space without disrupting the modern clean lines.
• Spatial Continuity: The design ensures a seamless transition between the interior and the exterior patio through extensive glazing, maintaining the strong color identity and material language throughout the entire footprint.

This project demonstrates a cohesive approach to commercial design, where branding, lighting, and interior architecture merge to create a distinct and professional hospitality environment.
