Description:
"Braids and Layers by Maryam" is designed not just as a place for beauty services, but as a holistic, high-end sanctuary. This interior project utilizes a masterful combination of texture, lighting, and iconic forms to craft an ambiance of sophisticated tranquility and aspirational luxury. The goal was to create a highly immersive and memorable environment that justifies premium pricing and encourages social sharing.
A Sensory and Functional Masterpiece:- The Rosé & Gold Standard: The core aesthetic hinges on a soft, rich pairing: a spectrum of rose tones (from pale blush to deep magenta) set against the uncompromising sheen of brushed brass/gold. This palette is both inherently feminine and deeply luxurious, instantly communicating exclusivity and warmth.
- Intelligent Zoning with Style: The use of vertical timber screens and arched wall treatments cleverly zones the open floor plan, offering necessary separation for different services (styling, bridal prep, wash) while maintaining visual continuity. These rhythmic vertical elements and arches define the Art Deco inspiration, creating elegant sightlines throughout the space.
- Luxury Underfoot and Overhead: The flooring a vast expanse of bright, white marble serves as the perfect reflective base, amplifying the abundant light and the golden accents. Overhead, custom lighting (including modern track fixtures and decorative drop pendants) ensures optimal, flattering illumination at every station, crucial for precise hair and makeup application.
- Moments of Indulgence: Unique features, such as the sculptural, shell-backed lounge chairs, the striking marble and wood reception desk, and the inviting swing seating area, transform waiting time into a deliberate moment of relaxation and photo-worthy indulgence.
The resulting salon is a testament to the power of high-concept commercial design, providing an environment that looks exceptional in a portfolio and feels exceptional to the client.
